Eating with the Parrot I enjoyed eating at Whiskey Creek Steak House on Tuesday in Port Charlotte Florida (for those of you from Texas we are on the other coast of the Gulf). This is an American family restaurant that serves a Great Steak. The service was outstanding. Cindy, our server, corrected a mishap with my steak with no questions asked. I really appreciated her politeness. As soon as I walked into the restaurant the hostess greeted us with a friendly smile, she walked my guests to the table. handed us menu's, and said our server would be with us soon. She made me feel valued as a customer. Cindy arrived promptly explained the menu to my satisfaction. My guest ordered the South West Tootsie Roll Combo filled with Shrimp and scallions which would serve two people easily. My other guest's eyes widened as Cindy presented a Beef Burrito that a ten foot man would have trouble consuming in one sitting. I, on the other hand, had a Jim Beam steak that was to die for. Nicely grilled over a wood fired grill to a nice medium rare that just simply makes my mouth water thinking about it. We were all very satisfied with the warmth, quality, and taste of our food. Whiskey Creek serves a variety of foods such as seafood, steaks, chicken and salads. The cost of food ranges from 10 to 30 dollars depending on what you are getting. Even though the place was busy, we felt we didn't have to wait to long to have our food brought to us. The atmosphere was entertaining, neat, and clean. I didn't see any trash or debris that would upset the pickiest of eaters. The restaurant is set in a Western theme with very casual attire as being fitting. I would recommend families take their kids to enjoy the children's menu which makes a night out very affordable. If you are wanting to just wet your whistle, Whiskey Creek offers a separate lounge from the dinning area to have your favorite spirit. I recommend Whisky Creek for those who have a big Steak Appetite. I give a 3.75 on a scale of 4.0.
