Whiskey Creek Announces Partnership with
Tielke’s In Norfolk:
Beef Brisket and
Pulled Pork Sandwiches Available in Stores Soon
NORFOLK,
Neb.,- (December 20, 2005) Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill has
partnered with Tielke’s Sandwiches of Norfolk to sell its famous
beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches in stores throughout
Nebraska and western Iowa while continuing to maintain their popular
local steakhouse.
“Whiskey Creek has become a dining
tradition in Norfolk over the past several years. We are excited
that, by partnering with a local business like Tielke’s, we can
extend that tradition into another marketplace,” said Matt Sharp,
manager of Whiskey Creek in Norfolk.
The Whiskey Creek brand of precooked,
prepackaged food is already familiar to consumers who shop in stores
associated with the Affiliated Foods brand, where several Whiskey
Creek menu items are already sold. “The superior quality and taste
you find in our restaurants carries over to our prepackaged grocery
items,” said Jim Gardner, owner of Whiskey Creek Franchise Systems.
In addition to the partnership with
Tielke’s, the Whiskey Creek brand continues to grow throughout the
region with another restaurant franchise set to open in Hays,
Kansas.
Whiskey Creek features 11 restaurants
in four states including Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Florida. The
brand’s unique flavor is derived from grilling over an oak and ash
fire, using a proprietary blend of seasonings. Whiskey Creek was the
first steakhouse chain in the nation to offer the flat iron steak,
an all new cut of meat developed by the University of Nebraska and
the Beef Council. Whiskey Creek also offers award winning baby back
ribs along with many other wood-fire grilled menu items.
Nearly all Whiskey Creek beef is
source-verified to protect consumers. Using the latest
technology-based, source-verification system, Whiskey Creek is able
to monitor through its meat vendor Premium Protein, the origin,
health and overall welfare of stock used in its restaurant supply.

"We wanted controlled growth from the start, and we
followed that business plan," said company President Jim
Gardner. "Our goals have changed a bit. Now it's time to
take some bigger steps toward growth." Although
the Whiskey Creek chain grew to include 11 stores in
four states, the restaurants remained company-owned
until last year, when the first franchise store, the
12th overall, opened in Hays, Kan. The Kearney-based
company now is in the early stages of an aggressive
growth plan that will include at least five new store
openings in 2007 and as many as 35 in the next five
years.
